toby Buckland Harvest festival at Forde Abbey 16th & 17th Septemberthis time next week, we'll be there! It looks like it's going to be an amazing event with loads to offer visitors. We will be taking our choice, if somewhat large, items to grace our stall. Can't wait to see and talk to our visitors. It's going to be a very busy week.....!
All the best, Alison & Mark http://tobygardenfest.co.uk/ toby Buckland Harvest festival at forde Abbey, 16th/17th September '17not long to go until this event at this beautiful venue in Chard, Somerset. Set in impressive grounds of this stately home, it should be a most enjoyable event. We will be taking our bird cage, Victorian water pump and various benches, including the rare metamorphic bench. and a stunning metal French folding daubed which has been newly re-upholstered in ticking stripe fabric
metamorphic benchat last we have completed the restoration of our Victorian metamorphic garden bench! Made from English Douglas fir with cast iron ends, it can be used in 3 different ways from a traditional bench, to a picnic bench (can also be used as a writing slope as used in the old days). Not many would have one of these in their garden!
french day bedi'm rather excited about this beauty! It's an old French folding day bed which we've just upholstered and the cushions will follow soon, but I couldn't wait to release a photo ..... we plan to take it to Toby Buckland's Harvest Festival at Forde Abbey in September.
bird cagewe have a rather splendid old birdcage which we believe to be Victorian. It measures nearly 5ft tall and is made of white painted wood & metal. It would look amazing housing some lush greenery in a conservatory/ garden room, but is a thing of beauty on its own. It will be added to our website very soon.
we are still waiting for delivery of the English grown Douglas fir to create a rather unusual and unique bench. As soon as it arrives we can get to work on it.It is a very unusual type of bench and will probably become a talking point.
we have now engaged with twitter and instagram (at last!), so we can keep you posted with our newest additions as soon as possible. At some point we will include Facebook.
We've had a bit of a crazy year so far, as whilst going to auctions to build up our stock, we have also been busy with our home and garden improvements as we moved house last year and there was rather a lot to do! However, things seem to be settling down and we are keen to put Hortensis on a better platform. Our next event we will be exhibiting at will be the Toby Buckland Harvest & Garden Festival at Forde Abbey in Somerset in September. We hope to see some of our previous customers as well as new ones. |
